Should you take your kids with you on holidays?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:14 am

We must admit one bitter truth that it is often a Herculean task to go for a family holiday even though we love to travel as an individual. The major problem of taking kids with you on a holiday is that the unexpected requirements and demands of the children can change the entire travel plan. There are som extra hazards that go with that: diapers – strollers – sippy cups etc. there are problems of having a small children while there are enough trouble to have a teenager in the group for many obvious reasons. Children do not understand the importance of local culture and fail to understand why it is almost impossible get peanut butter in Somalia.
There is one more aspect of traveling with kids, which is rather contrary to the hazards. Having kids around you with their endless curiosity and an eye for looking at everything from a fresh perspective, you get a chance to teach them the visions of the world and diversities all around us. On the other hand, you get to learn from them how to get absorbed in the pleasure of a new discovery. Along with the kids, you will find the entire globe as your classroom.
Through traveling with kids, we give them a chance to know about the world as their homeland. It is beyond the textbook. They can proudly say the differences they have experienced and the connection they have felt with the strangers. This knowledge is greater anything that a textbook may provide and that is the best reason to take your kids with you on holidays.

Useful Sites For Travel Deals

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:36 am

Whenever we look for something on the net, we often go to search engines like Bing or Google. The fresh approach of Bing Travel has attracted many of us. However, while doing the search through search engines, we forget a basic rule for these, that is to search for the same in the relevant sites. Suppose you are planning to go to the Bahamas this summer, you can straightaway go to the sites that provide specific travel plans for the Bahamas.

Visit Seattle: This is a useful site if you are planning to visit Seattle for your vacations. It has got links to book numerous deals including the stay. Simply because Seattle is a popular holiday destination, you may also like get hold of @SeattleMaven through Twitter so that you may get updated data for your convenience.

Visit Tulsa: This site has got great deals on accommodation and they have got everything on a single page for the convenience of the larger number of users. It often provides a free coupon with discounts on visiting the neighboring attractions. You can order this quite ahead of your schedule to reach the place. You can get hold of @ VisitTulsa through Twitter as well for updates.

Some sites like Travel Iowa may have some misleading headings that must be checked properly before proceeding. They have some offers under “summer deals” but many of them move on well right through September.

One has to be persistent to get the best out of these sites. A deep search for family deals including tickets to neighboring attractions plus lodging is available but needs patience to get discovered.

Around America: Montana

Filed under: General — admin @ 8:40 am

Montana is one of the many family friendly cities in America. It has many locations which are family friendly and are especially enjoyable by the kids.

If you are here for a weekend, then head out to one of the many kid friendly camps that are located across the country side. You can head out to the Bigfork town which has a kid friendly play house and many water sports that can be enjoyed by you and your children. Or head out to Helena in the winter season to catch one of the many winters festivals held here. My personal best would be the Glacier National Park where you an go out for trekking on foot or cycling the beautiful are with your kids. If you do not have that much stamina that you can handle trekking, then go for the Red bus tour which is totally fabulous. And besides the lodges here are very cheap and give special packages if you are out on a vacation with your children.  If you prefer resorts instead of lodges then you have very good choices as well. The resorts like Fairmount Hot springs Resort in Anaconda are well furnished and you can find amenities such as a hot tub and water slides.

International Travel with Kids

Filed under: General — admin @ 8:38 am

Travelling with your Kid, especially when you are divorced with your husband or wife, be careful when you are traveling along with your child. You need to uphold all the written and legal documents of the custody of the child. Or else you will get entangled in a legal battle that will take years to solve. Such was the case of a recent ruling which gave the custody of the son to his father after the boy’s mother took the boy to Brazil which was a two week holiday but instead lasted 5 years.

Hence make sure you have all the custody documents with you at all the times and in case you and your child’s surnames are different, carry divorce and marriage certificate copiers with you. In case the parents are from different countries make the child is a citizen of both the countries, remember to carry the necessary citizenship certificates. It’s very important to have documents for multicultural families which can be easily mistaken not to be families and charged with kidnapping. In case you have an adopted child with you, keep the adoption papers with you. These documents are really helpful in case of any legal issues and avoid a certain nightmare.

Colorful Theme Parks Watery Treat

The California Disney Park has a fascinating and beautiful new addition. The California Theme park was unveiled at a press event.

It is a colorful combination of beauty and brilliance which makes this very hard to express. It is a dazzling combination of audio, video and water fountains. The water fountains create a sheet on which imager are projected on along with fire bursts and animations. There are somewhere around 1200 fountains that work simultaneously or in tandem rhythmically to produce a vibrant and beautiful display. The water jets shoot water up to 200 feet high and with a width of 380 feet. It is a complete family experience and a major night time attraction in California. He water show is constantly changed so that people visiting very often do not feel like seeing the same redundant water show. This along with the other night time attractions will make Disney land more popular among families who are fed up with the little choices to choose from, of which most are boring or repetitive. This is comparable to the fireworks over the Disney castle and the fantastic show in the Disneyland. Also can be compared to the illuminations event at Disney world.

Thailand with Family

Filed under: General — admin @ 5:27 am

Asian countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong and India are family friendly travel destinations and offer a whole lot for the entire family. They are safe places which have quite a different culture and teach a lot to everyone. The first place that I would like to recommend is Thailand. Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand and is a very popular tourist destination.

They are many family friendly hotels and resorts in good locations that offer excellent and spacious rooms at low cost that is affordable by every family. You can also rent a house on the river that is built using the traditional Thailand technique. The places to see around are numerous from manmade architectural temples, buildings to historical places and museums. For nature lovers there is a lot on offer here with beautiful national parks and wild life that is not seen in their home country. The food here is completely different from what you find at home and makes for a completely different experience in discovering the delicacies of this fabulous place. Then there are innumerable numbers of malls here that have special kids play area with innovative fun things to do. You also find the best shopping experience here that will blow you away with the cheap prices and attractive offers in the wholesale markets of Bangkok.

Virginia and History

Virginia is a state with a lot of history and colonial spirit. If you are looking for a good week off from the daily routine, then head out to Virginia for a complete family learning experience in the colonial Virginia style. More specifically head out to the St. John’s Church and the Wilson Museum.

There are monthly and weekly reenactments of famous people from history in public and can be found for free. The public reenactments go on at the St. John’s Church and are free to attend. This is a must attend for every child to infuse a patriotic spirit in the citizens. There is a permanent exhibition here too that displays the different modes of the American Freedom.

You can also take part in the Wilton House encampment which happens in the grounds of the Wilton House. You could also just enjoy jazz while your children learn about history at the Wilson house museum. You can also see the colonial summer camps at these two locations with self enactment of playing the role of a person living in the colonial era. The kids will learn the way they lived, what they ate and how they slept with various other activities.

Lake Ouachita break

Lake Ouachita is one of the most scenic and beautiful lakes of America. It is the largest lake of Arkansas and is surrounded by the Ouachita National Forest. This is one of the purest lakes of America and covers an area of 66,000 acres.

This Ouachita Lake is located just a short drive from the city of hot Springs. This manmade lake is a water sports paradise with sports such as canoeing, swimming, fishing, skiing, boating and scuba diving. Fishing here is the most popular activity and is a favorite father and son bonding activity. You can easily rent water sports equipment like Jet Ski and scuba diving equipment from the shores. If your family does not like water sports, the there are many activities you can do on the banks of the lake like camping, trekking, cycling, horseback riding and many more or just hang out in the lakes clean water all day. There is an excellent choice of lodging which includes low cost rooms with the view of the lake. He forest is filled with wildlife and it makes for interesting time to watch deer’s and other animals.

It is a fun time for the entire family and is a good weekend getaway.
